Tattoo finished.. event items...

Okay tattoo is finished now, I think unless something new pops up.

The cool part is that the freeby tattoo is pushed through the event system. See pastebin for the xml. I added a lot of fun stuff to this one command does the check to see if the item exists, add the item, remove the item, refresh the display if necessary. I rather like it and adds a lot of extra stuff to the event system. More fun not sure what I will play with next should work on the stacker but not interested.

As a completely unrelated item. I've been stuck for the last week or two trying to remember an anime where the magical girlfriend think she was a robot uses paints to cook creating wonderful looking food that of course tastes like paint. Also sure there was a scene where this girl was in an art room looking at the paints and commenting what great food she could make with them. That's all I remember and its been nagging at me for a week. Anyone know what series it was?

  1. The only thing I could think of was "Ai Ga Tomaranai" or "AI Love You" from Ken Akamatsu but it is a manga serie so it might not be what you are looking for even if it has all of the stuff you are looking for incl. the paints in the art room - maybe you are looking for a manga and not an anime (I know I watched or read what you are looking for but after thinking for 10minutes I couldn´t remember anything other than that...). hope it helps (btw all the stuff you are thinking of happens in the first volume^^)

  2. I personally like filesonic. They've got this "lifetime membership" thing, where you only have to pay once.

  3. Excuse my dumb question, but is there an up to date version of otherworld i could play. Or, otherwise, when is a new release planned and where can i get it?
the link on the top left always seems to be a little outdated

  4. The November release (the one at the top left) IS the latest one. That's as up to date as you're going to get.

Back on topic, considering the fact that "All sharing functionality on FileSonic is now disabled," that probably isn't the best option. It might make a great backup service, but that's about it, now. If Daisy uploads anything there, Daisy will be the only one able to access it, which is no good.

If anyone recently bought a lifetime membership, I would seriously consider demanding your money back, since you paid for a completely different service than the one they're offering, now.

Unfortunately, I can't offer any better suggestions. Every service I know of has gotten steadily worse (and the fear in the wake of the MegaUpload fiasco isn't helping matters).

Amazingly, after a stint as the worst service, ever, Rapidshare isn't complete crap, right now, but there's no telling how long that will last. (My guess? Not long.)

  5. Well if you can't find a good service maybe torrents are the way to go?

Seems they would be fairly easy to do and I believe they are free to set up, although I'm not 100% sure about that.

Anyway just a suggestion, all the fansub sites seem to like them. Plus you wouldn't have to spit the file.

  6. AFAIK torrents are free to set up. However, downloading a torrent is not as easy as downloading from Rapidshare or other hosters. Personally I've given up on torrents as they hardly ever work for me. The problem is not that I don't know how to handle a computer - I even do a little bit of programming now and then.

  7. Only reason a torrent won't work is if people don't seed it, somehow I doubt we will have too much of a problem with that here. Besides if push comes to shove a simple request to reseed on the forums would probably be enough.

Also when compared to hosters, no download timers, multiple parallel downloads, no confusing capacha verification,
no waiting 30 min to an hour between downloads, and I could probably go on but you get the point.

Then again I see no reason why we can't have a hoster and a torrent as long as Daisy is willing.
