For the last day of distractions...

For the last day of distractions... Saizen Fansubs is fansubbing Yawara! YAY! YAY! YAY! (Die Animeigo) For those of you who don't know about Yawara it is a sports/romance anime by the guy who created Monster. Yah, I'm not kidding about that. Also if you get a chance watch Master Keaton. Anyways, Yawara is sort of a mythical series that I have been trying to watch for over a decade but keeps getting dropped by everyone including a US company. So I want to thank them and suggest you guys go over there and download it is worth it. Saizen

Working on something tonight either bugs or the text system.... hopefully have something to show tomorrow.

  1. Hey, name's Keaton... D'you know how startling it is, to see my name used in a blog post? Very. It's decidedly weird, my dear person.

Try reading this (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_Keaton) from my perspective. It's like "...I did what now?" 'Cuz when does anyone have Keaton as their name?

  3. Heh, yeah, me too. Have watched all the available subbed episodes 3 times over the years, and all the episodes, including the non subbed ones once. Just wish I knew more Japanese.

  4. Telling AnimEigo to die just because they didn't want to lose even more money by releasing unprofitable box sets of Yawara?

They were the only ones to even try to release it, and do you show them appreciation at the attempt? Of course not. Only contempt.

I love anime. I hate the anime fanbase.

  5. I was so hiped when animEigo released the first box set I preordered and got the pre-order t-shirt. Loved the box set with the linear notes and excellent in movie notes on the Judo moves. Then I logged on to there site every week for a year waiting with money in hand to buy the next set... and it never came. If there is more I can do to support a company I don't know what it is. Even watching the series go for 1/2 what I payed for it on right stuf just a few months later. I try my best to be a good fan but nothing pisses me off more then a company that buys part or all of a series and then puts it in limbo for the fans. I will probably never seen the end of strange dawn because of that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strange_Dawn
I shell out a good portion of my take home about 20% each year to the anime companies to support them. But don't ever start a series and leave me high and dry for I will curse you forever for doing that.
