Starting again...

Started again but not heavily.  Before anyone asks next release will be mid February.  Will do a few weeks on bugs and a few weeks on new content.  Going to try to go back to releasing every month.

The guild hall no longer has a bounty hunter.
The first time a girl goes missing the default assistant points you in the right direction.

Just out of curiosity, what is the primary, for lack of a better word, "engine" that you use to run the SWF files? The UI is a bit screwy on Firefox, IE and MPC-HD, especially when you get to the point of having multiple girls. This seems like some sort of display bug though.

Which browser do you use? Or do you use the standalone flash player?

    2. http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html in the listing of the various flavors of flash player for which ever OS might be supported/shown you'll see "projector" and that should be it. For windows it should be an .exe and you could set it as the primary thing to launch .swf files. while on my machine I've noticed some lag from the loading I've generally assumed that was natural load time of placing files into memory and such.

  2. I find the game painfully slow in Firefox - runs fine in Chrome, but it takes 2-3 seconds to render the main (building / girl management) screen in FF.

Do you have any plans to re-introduce and hopefully expand the in-game tutorial/help? I think that lowering the learning curve is one of the most important ways you can gain and retain players.

  3. I like the new version, even with al the bugs.

I even wanted to register on the new forum to submit sugestions and bugs. But to be honest, the registration procedure is very user unfriendly. I don't know how but i failed the 3 questions and most likely the case sensitive "whats the name of this game" question although I really think I did it right with Otherworld. If this was the right answer I might have the scrambled letter thing wrong which in my opinion is always a pain in the ass.

I understand the need of some sort of protection against bots. I have run multiple forums myself and I sure know what a pain in the ass bots can be. But to put a permanent ban after 3 failed tries is kind of rediculous.

I might try it again once i am home in a few weeks, but if it happens again I won't give it a third try.

  4. I use the base flash engine as mentioned in later posts. Will try to remember both .exe and .swf next time.

I have plans to put a guide/walkthrough and more help as we go along.

  5. Might I ask what the "right direction" is?

  6. In this case it'd be pointing to the Bounty Hunter (BHunter) in A Little Time Cafe in town (while there is a button for a BHunter in the Guild, it doesn't work.)
