So turns out my copying method failed for the mini pics... it was still doing a shallow copy. (For those of you who don't know what a deep copy vs a shallow copy is you are a lucky person.) But Flash actually had a way out... its all about the key words...
The old version best I can remember... Would display the image but then lose them on the main stage...
